Steisha Pintado is an interdisciplinary artist in Greensboro, North Carolina. Steisha's work often draws from media that is associated with childhood iconography: drawing, painting, puppetry, and animation. Her work primarily examines ideas of memory and self. Steisha graduated in 2013 from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro with a B.F.A. in Painting. Steisha is a member of the Society for Animation Studies (SAS), and presented her research on the nineteenth-century optical toys and the contemporary animated GIF at the 2013 SAS 'Redefining Animation' conference at the University of Southern California.
